2.硬件安装:

a.连接5类UTP线到Router 10 Mbps 10Base-T or AUI LAN 口。

b.对于Express Router 9100, Express Router 9200, Express Router 9201, and Express Router 9300: 连接WAN 口到DCE（modems),注意使用相关电缆 -- V.24, V.35 or V.36.

c.对于Express Router 9201: 如果使用 PC Card ISDN (PCMCIA), 则必须插入PC Card ISDN 进WAN。

d.对于Express Router 9201, Express Router 9300, 或 Express Router 9400: 则直接用提供的ISDN线连接ISDN口。

e.对于Express Router 9200和Express Router 9201:如使用异步modem (PCMCIA),则必须插入异步PC modem Card 进 WAN 1，然后连接电话线。

d.连接电源并上电。

3.安装随机提供的Intel Device View for Windows 网管软件插入CD光盘入网管工作站，并运行Setup。

4.启动Intel Device View并添加新router。

a.选择Intel Device View>Intel Device View Router menu item (or icon) 用鼠标点击工具条栏的New Router 标识 ，或选择 File>New Router.

b.键入该Router 所分配到的局域网IP地址。

c.用鼠标点击OK 。

d.The New Device Failure dialog opens.

e.用鼠标点击Assign Address 按钮。

f.键入Subnet Mask 。

g.选择router's MAC 地址, 用鼠标点击OK ，并弹出一窗口。

5.选择 Tools>Local Management 。

6.以Administrator 的身分登录Local Management。Press并输入口令。（默认则无口令).

7.选择Configuration...>Setup>Basic.

Basic Setup allows you to configure the basic operation of the router. The router is supplied with a default configuration, which will be used when it is first started up. The more advanced router parameters and facilities must be configured later using the Advanced  Setup option, if required.

a.完成 Basic Setup 并选择File>Save. Selecting File>Save makes the configuration

operational. Note that at this stage the configuration is not saved permanently and can be lost following a restart of the router. 确认所输入参数满足配置所需。

b.选择 Configuration...> Save to FlashPROM.

c.如需进一步配置以满足需求,选择 Configuration...> Setup>Advanced.并进一步完成对Router.的配置。

8.检查 Advanced Setup,并确认各项参数满足所需并存入 FlashPROM
